At Shop 2008, Avery Berkel Ireland will exhibit its award-winning IM range of counter service scales, designed to deliver the core functionalityrequired by independent retailers.
Combining innovative styling and high reliability, the scale delivers all the essential functions that independent retailers and small chains demand, without the costs associated with more complex weighing systems
Also showcased on stand number C15 is Avery Berkel’s complete portfolio of fresh food solutions, including its market-leading M series counter scale and a range of meat slicers and food processing equipment.
In addition, visitors to this year’s show are among the first to see the latest hardware additions to the MP range of system scales. Known as MPi, the scales now include a best-in-class printer, a robust touchscreen, new graphics displays and upgraded RF communications to the latest security standards.
IM is a robust, aesthetic counter scale range that is simple to install, connect and use. Yet this simplicity is not at the expense of functionality as Greg Astill, product manager comments. “Data is at the heart of every retail business and combining these scales with our software helps keep owners on track and ahead of the competition.”
Five models are available in the new range to fit any counter arrangement, including a compact hanging scale. Each has a very small footprint and an eye-catching design that complements modern shop layouts. The counter scales also have point-of-sale and checkout functionality and can be combined with a cash drawer for an integrated weighing and checkout solution.
